Dear Cottage Mavens,
By decorating the home, you will bring a sense of order, and peacefulness to your home.
Through the use of color, adding depth, and soulfulness an enriched living experience prevails. The inhabitants feel energized, balanced, and at peace with themselves.
When everything is made harmonious relationships thrive and the inhabitants find themselves relating on a deeper level.
Their lives take on more meaning and purpose.
Even children become more calm and contented. It’s a subliminal connection to their higher selves.
When a person is surrounded by beauty and the things they love, they are elevated to a sense of all around wellness and ease.
Suddenly, there’s more time available to spend relaxing with loved ones.
They realize that their needs are few once the home is in order. For when all is said and done, what are we really here for? To work, yes, that’s a necessity so finding work we love is important. To eat and nourish our body temples, occupies a lot of our time. So we might as well enjoy it. Spending the time necessary caring for self and family is a priority.
In order for all of these things to take place, we need a base from which to work. And that is the home. The home is that starting point, the beginning and the end where we come and go. It’s our protective shell from the outside world where we find comfort and rest, where we take care of our bodies, and our families.
Our homes are an extension of our selves and should reflect our inner longings and the things we love.
Establishing a personal relationship with your home, and all of the belongings there-in, will not only give you a deeper understanding of yourself and your family members, but also the insight necessary to edit, reduce the things that no longer serve you, and lift your spirits.
The home is your sanctuary.
Life is too short to live among things or people that bring your energy down.
On the other hand, some things cannot be avoided, ie. negative relations, or broken down furniture.
So what can you do if these are currently in your life or your home?
For the people, you can practice Ho’oponopono as an internal mantra to help heal these relationships. By changing your self first, you will change your world. Ho’oponopono means I Love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you. It is life changing.
For the furniture, repair it if you can. If not, just donate or get rid of it. Old, dilapidated, or broken furniture can create stuck energy, and stand as a symbol that something is broken in your life.
Try not to focus on what you don’t want or can’t change. Instead, make a vision board of what you do want. Put it in a place where you can see it every day.
Create an affirmation or mantra to replace any negative tapes that are stuck on “replay” in your mind.
These techniques that I will be sharing with you on this blog, will help to upgrade your life in amazing ways.
When faced with challenges you will come away stronger as you build your inner climate with these techniques.
Clearing physical clutter, mental clutter and emotional clutter will bring more peace into your life.
You will begin to notice that all of life is affirming and that you are meant to be in-the-flow of the Universal God-Source Energy.
What an incredible feeling it is!
Everything you need in your life will come more easily.
I guarantee it.
Your thoughts will be filled with gratitude and you will understand what it means to be one-with- All-That-Is.
A person cannot develop the full extent of his/her mind and body, unless their home and surroundings are in harmony with their feelings. By Alpha New York
